Singing Bowls

The art and craft of singing bowls dates back 3000 years to the Bronze Age. Over the years they are known by different names, the most common of which are Tibetan Singing Bowls, Himalayan Singing Bowls, Medicine Bowls and Rig Gongs. These bowls today are used for meditation, music, relaxation, personal well-being and religious practice.

These bowls are played by friction of rubbing wooden, plastic or leather wrapped mallet around the rim of the bowl to produce overtones (singing sound). We carry these magical instruments in many sizes. Each size produces a distinct sound. The craftsmanship of these bowls varies depending on region and many consider this to be a lost art. While most singing bowls are decorated with abstract designs our bowls have hand carved Buddha Statues and some are even lightly painted for aesthetic reasons. In addition to these, we also carry other meditation supplies.
